The emblematic building for Sofia years ago - the headquarters of "Bulgartabac Holding", located at the corner of the capital's "Graf Ignatiev" street and "Vasil Levski" and "Patriarch Evtimiy" boulevards, has been under a new owner since the spring of last year. The 9-storey building was acquired by the newly registered company "Y. G. Property" Ltd for the sum of BGN 22 million. The company is 100% owned by "Y.G. Techniks" Ltd, which, however, is also not the ultimate owner, as it is owned by the Plovdiv factory for cigarette filters "Yuriy Gagarin" JSC, which is also represented by Zisov. The main shareholders of "Yuri Gagarin" JSC are "Baranko" Ltd and "Bora Investment" Ltd. The first company is 100% owned by the company "SEMIRAMIS INTERNATIONAL EF ZET" registered in the Umm al-Quain Free Trade Zone in the United Arab Emirates. As the actual sole owner of this company, the individual Uladjimir Mihailovski is indicated, but through his other company "Mathmoon LTD" - also UAE, but registered in another Free Zone - "Ajman". The second company that owns a significant share of "Yuriy Gagarin" JSC was established on August 28, 2019 with BGN 1,000 and is owned by Borislav Borisov and Rangel Genchev.

Despite the protests of citizens, the municipal council of Plovdiv approved the new general development plan of the city, which foresees the possibility of building a part of the "Recreation and Culture" park. The 81-acre site in the Recreation and Culture Park, which is located meters from the rowing canal, is slated to have a "recreational activities" status. This allows 30% of it to be built on, or about 24 decares. The entire property of 81 decares, as well as the neighboring one of 50 decares, is owned by "Teya Invest", registered at the end of October 2013. These are the most attractive assets in the property of the company, which with almost no profits and no persons employed in it acquired the land for 5.7 million. The company acquired the two plots of a total of 130 decares in the Park "Recreation and Culture" only a month after its foundation , and the seller in the transaction is "Amusement Park". The seller company was founded as a public-private initiative back in 2002, during the time of the mayor Ivan Chomakov, when the lands in "Recreation and Culture" were contributed to it by the municipality. Its purpose is to build an amusement park on them, the so-called "Plovdiv Disneyland". Despite the contribution, the municipality of Plovdiv receives only 25% of the shares in the newly established company, which does not give it the right to make any decisions. In the end, the venture did not materialize, and in December 2014 it was decided that the company "Amusement Park Trakia" would enter into a liquidation procedure.

America

Despite high inflation, Americans spent a record $9.12 billion on online purchases on Black Friday this year, Reuters reports. Online purchases in the U.S. rose 2.3 percent on Black Friday, Adobe Analytics, the data and analytics division of Adobe Inc., estimated. The growth is mainly explained by the fact that consumers are waiting for the traditionally big discounts in this period, although the offers for good deals started already in October. Adobe Analytics measures e-commerce through website transaction analytics and has access to data covering the sales of 85% of the top 100 US Internet retailers. The company previously forecast that Black Friday sales would grow a modest 1%. Adobe expects Cyber Monday (after the Black Friday weekend) to once again bring in the most online sales of the season - worth $11.2 billion. Americans did much of their holiday shopping from their smartphones, with Adobe data showing that mobile shopping accounted for 48% of all Black Friday internet sales. The Friday after Thanksgiving is the busiest day for retailers in the US amid deep discounts. This year, however, the traditional crowds of people waiting for the stores to open were missing. This shopping weekend, from Black Friday to Cyber Monday, is expected to see more than 166 million Americans shop, 8 million more than last year. Expectations are for sales growth of 6-8% compared to the average level for the last 10 years.

Azerbaijan has received applications from more than 10 European countries requesting to either increase or start gas supplies to Europe, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said. Now, Azerbaijan does not have enough gas to satisfy all requests. As of December 31, 2020, Azerbaijan supplies gas to Europe through the Trans-Adriatic Gas Pipeline. The deliveries, calculated for 25 years, ensure the annual export of more than 10 billion cubic meters of gas for the European market, of which 8 billion cubic meters will be received by Italy, 1 billion cubic meters by Greece and Bulgaria. The Southern Gas Corridor, which stretches 3,500 km from Baku to southern Italy through Georgia, Turkey, Greece and Albania, is an integrated pipeline system that includes, in addition to the Trans-Adriatic Gas Pipeline, the South Caucasus and Trans-Anatolian Gas Pipelines. Its capacity is 16 billion cubic meters of natural gas. The main source of raw materials for it is the Shah Deniz deposit with reserves of 1.2 trillion cubic meters. Total gas reserves in Azerbaijan are estimated at 2.6 trillion cubic meters.

Hotnitsa Falls

Hotnitsa Falls (Kaya Bunar) is located on the outskirts of the village Hotnitsa, 15 km away from Veliko Tarnovo. The waterfall is about 30 meters high and in front of it has formed a little bistro and ice cold lake. From the waterfall starts a trail that goes up the steep steps in the rocks. It consists of paths, wooden bridges and stairs that lead to the top of the waterfall. The eco-trail length is only 1.5 km along the river Bohot and reveals to visitors bizarre rock formations, small waterfalls, pools and green ridges. It leads to the source of the river Bohot - Kaya Bunar, hence the other name of the waterfall. Not far from Hotnitsa waterfall there is another very famous landmark in the area - the Emen Canyon and the eponymous Emen Fall. (Photo: waterfallsbg.info)
