Sinemorets

Sinemorets is a small village located on a peninsula, to the south of the mouth of the Veleka river and some 20 km south of Tzarevo. The present name of Sinemorets is a literal translation of the Greek “galaza”, which means sky-blue. Sinemorets is one of paradise places at the Bulgarian Black Sea with beautiful beaches and picturesque nature. Not far from Sinemorets the submarine studies in the Butamyata bay found ceramic articles of 5-6th century BC and from the Middle Ages. Anchors and lead facing of ancient ship were found here. Also Thracian tombstones and a small fortress may be seen in the peninsula. Sinemorets is the last resort village at the South Bulgarian Black Sea coast. The nature has met here in a unique manner lovely pure beaches with the green forests of Strandja mountain reaching the coast. The silence and the tranquillity of the virgin nature combined with the cleanest and fish richest river – Veleka, make Sinemorets one of the most attractive places in Bulgaria for summer holiday.
