The town of Tryavna

Tryavna is situated in the north slopes of Stara Planina Mountain. The famous Art School of Tryvna was established there. The old part of the town became an architectural reserve, with more than 140 monuments from the Bulgarian Revival. The only one revival architectural ensemble – the Kapitan Dyado Nikola Square, was preserved in Tryavna. The oldest building in it is the St. Archangel Michael Church, constructed in honour of the victory of the brothers Asen and Petar, whose armies had defeated the Romans in 1192. Two of the symbols of the town are the Clock Tower, built in 1844 and the Kivgiren Bridge – 1845. Other interesting tourist sights are the Daskalova House, the Raykova House and the Slaveikova House, where the famous Bulgarian poet Pencho Slaveikov was born. Tryavna is one of the 100 National Tourist Sights of Bulgaria. https://maps.app.goo.gl/UMMEXgYbkr5z3ZH97
