Dantchov's House – Plovdiv

The Dantchov's House is located in the Old Plovdiv and is a national monument of culture. The House was restored using authentic technologies within the frameworks of a joint project of the Koblenz Chamber of skilled crafts, Germany and the municipality of Plovdiv. This project, as well as all the Chamber’s events in Bulgaria and on the entire Balkan Peninsula, are financed by the German Federal Ministry of Cooperation. After completing the restoration works in the spring of 2001 the Danchov’s House gradually turned into a Center for consultancy, information and documents in the sphere of protection of cultural monuments. With the cooperation of the National Crafts Chamber, the Plovdiv Regional Crafts Chamber and the National Union of the Restorers and Conservators a wider concept for the use of the Danchov’s House as a Balkan Design Center is developed. The municipal institute Old Plovdiv is an important partner from Bulgaria.
