Obzor

Obzor is one of the most attractive places at the Bulgarian Seaside. It lies halfway between Bourgas and Varna. Besides the favorable location and the almost 6-km long beach Obzor offers also the woody coolness and the harmony of the forestry freshness, sea and sun are perfect opportunity for complete relax. However Obzor is not known only for the sunny beaches. Remains of the ancient town Heliopolis (The Sun Town), founded by the Greeks, are arranged in the small park of the center of Obzor. Near Obzor the Romans also had a fortress which was to protect their sea connection between Constantinople and the Danube River. This is one of the oldest settlements at the local Black Sea coast. Initially the town was called Navlohos, and later Heliopolis. Obzor has been developing constantly and the modern base, the hospitality of the local people make it an incredible and unforgettable holiday place.
