2006 Pirin days

It’s for the first year in a row that the National Park Pirin Directorate along with the municipalities lying around the park’s territory and the Pirin Tourist Forum throws the holidays Pririn Days. The aim of the holidays is promoting the breathtaking Pirin Mountain and the traditions of the local people, setting new possibilities for sustainable occupation, provided by the protected district. Within the holidays a lot of different events are offered to the guests – excursions in the mountain with various routes, tasting traditional local food and drinks, making souvenirs and studying local way of life, as well as creating number of opportunities. After opening the holidays on July 15 in the village of Senokos, the towns of Razlog, Bansko, the Popovi livadi district, the villages Lilyanovo, Ilindentsi and Vlahi also welcome events. The happening includes folk programs, promoting local traditional facilities and habits, cultural tourism, exhibits, films, special children programs, and lots of other surprises. The event will last until July 22.
