Her poems were published in youth journals and magazines such as “Septemvriyche” and “Narodna Mladezh”, “Rodna Rech” and “Mladezh” (Youth). Her mother and father were the ones to discover her talent. They gathered the sheets of paper, napkins and booklets, on which Petya wrote and then threw them away. Thus they saved most of her poems and tales. Encouraged by her parents, Petya became an excellent student in the Bourgas English Language School. Petya wrote original poems, impressions, tales and stories, which shone among the literature of the 1970s with their ease of expression, daring and freshness. Her poetry touched many eternal topics like love, the sea, the summer, the youth, the school.
