Varovitetz Waterfall

The Varovitetz waterfall is located in the northern foot of the Cherni Vrah summit, in the Etropole part of the Stara Planina mountain, about 4 km away from the town of Etropole. It occupies an area of about 0.3 hectares. The turbulent waters of this impressive natural phenomenon fall down from a height of about 15 m. In direct proximity to the waterfall, the famous Etropole monastery “St. Trinity” is situated. This is one of the biggest monasteries in Bulgaria, built in a travertine terrace. The area is 5 km away from the resort village Ribaritza.
