Elenina Dupka Cave

The Elenina Dupka cave is located in the region of Byala Voda village, no the road between Malko Tarnovo and Bourgas. According to one legend, there was once a group of young girls, who gathered and started to play horo (traditional folk dance) near the cave. All of a sudden, a whirlwind came up and carried away the beautiful Elena. After some time, people who lived around these places found Elena’s plaits scattered around the cave, so they decided to name the cave after the girl. The legend says the beauty was stolen by a dragon.
