First issue of the Bulgarian State Official Gazette |
 |
Bulgaria’s State Official Gazette is the official printed issue of the
Republic of Bulgaria, published by the National Assembly. It was set up by the first Bulgarian government, appointed after our country’s
liberation from the Ottoman yoke. The first issue was published on July
28 1879, and the gazette has been printed without any interruptions
ever after. Naturally, it has changed a lot through the years – its
periodicity and addenda have not always been the same. For example,
over he period 1950 – 1962 it was published under the name “News by
the Presidium of the National Assembly”. Currently, the State Official
Gazette is published in regular copies Tuesdays and Fridays. There are also extraordinary copies, which may be published any day of the
week, including holidays.
