Yaylata

Yaylata district is a unique place in the Bulgaria Black Sea coastal region. It is situated northeast from the Bird bay and the imposing Kaliakra cape. Yaylata is a big terrace-formed landslide of 2 km. The three clearly defined and different by size landslide gradines are huge rock massifs which upper flat parts are inclines in the land, and are separated by sheer, almost vertical swath in the seaward direction. Yaylata is unscalable of all sides except some hardly passable paths between the rocks. Thus the region has kept its wild beauty. The natural protection has attracted men yet in the antiquity, as the earlier rock tombs are dated back to 8000 years ago. Archeologists found precious findings of different ages in the caves. Yaylata also attracts a lot of animals who have settled here.
