Emil Dimitrov

Emil Dimitrov – one of the legends of Bulgarian pop music, the idle of a couple of generations in our country, passed away on March 30 2005. He is known all over the world, not only as a unique performer, but also as a brilliant composer. Shortly after he made his debut in November 1960, he turned into one of Bulgaria’s most popular singers, with hits such as “Arlequino”, “Our Signal”, “My Fatherland”, etc. He shared the same stage with artists such as Demis Russos, Al Bano, The Carpenters, Richi Poveri, Gilbert Becaud. He took part in a series of international festivals, spreading our country’s fame in countries such as France, Russia, Italy. In his long-year career, he authored more than 200 songs.
