13th International Folk Festival – Varna 2004

The 13th International folk festival will be held in the Summer Theater in Varna over the period August 1 – August 5 2004. The festival was associated in 1992 under the initiative of the local municipality. Its rich history includes the participation of 145 folk ensembles from 40 countries in Europe, Asia, Africa and America, as well as another 39 folk ensembles from Bulgaria. Since 1994, the acknowledged composer and orchestra conductor Prof. Kiril Stefanov has been acting as President of the festival. Since 1998, this cultural event has been organized under the patronage of the Vice president of the Republic of Bulgaria.
