The cave Venetsa is located in the area of Kraishte, about 3 km from Oreshets Station, and 1 km southwest of the non-residential village of Oreshets. The cave was accidentally discovered in May, 1970 by a group from the cave club "Bel Prilep" ("White Bat") Belogradchik. The group found what was a well, covered with stones by the native people at the entrance. At that point, entering the cave from this passage turned out to be impossible. In the same area is located a quarry for stone extraction for lime baking. During one of the explosions the stones fall through and the workers see the newly formed entrance of the cave. Today, the cave Venetsa is qualified by cavers as the most beautiful among 121 caves, discovered on the expeditions of the club "Bel Prilep". Various types of secondary calcite formations, formed by nature's unique fantasy can be observed in the cave. This is why the cave bears the name Wreath, given by eng. Peter Tranteev. The cave's length is about 200 meters, containing a total of five halls. Its denivelation is 26 meters. The cave is available for visits, but only with an escort team from the cave club.
