The third Infantry Regiment Bdinski is formed in Vidin, in 1884 by the infantry battalions - Lompalanska № 7, Berkovska № 9 and Svishtovska № 15 with headquarters in Vidin. The regiment receives the flag of the 7th Lompalanska Battalion donated on August 30, 1881. During the Serbian-Bulgarian War (1885) the regiment is included in the Tran-based composition of the team from the West campus. It participates in the battles at Vrabcha on November 3, 1885. The regiment fights near Tri Ushi (7 November). The flag is awarded in 1891 with a commemorative medal for the Serbian-Bulgarian War. During the Balkan War (1912 -1913) the 3rd Infantry Regiment Bdinski was part of the 6th Infantry Division of Bdin of the Third Bulgarian Army. It fights in Lozengrad, Lyuleburgas, Sakızköy, Chataldja, Otluktabiya. During the Second Balkan War (1913) a heavy fighting against the Serbs in Berovo, Eastern Macedonia occured. During the First World War (1915 - 1918 years) it is included in the composition of the First Infantry Brigade of the 6th Infantry Division of Bdin. The regiment is formed again in 1928. From November, 1940 to January, 1941 the regiment is on the incognito front near the Turkish border. From April, 1941 to July, 1942 it is in Skopje and Krusevac.
