Hotnitsa Falls

Hotnitsa Falls (Kaya Bunar) is located on the outskirts of the village Hotnitsa, 15 km away from Veliko Tarnovo. The waterfall is about 30 meters high and in front of it has formed a little bistro and ice cold lake. From the waterfall starts a trail that goes up the steep steps in the rocks. It consists of paths, wooden bridges and stairs that lead to the top of the waterfall. The eco-trail length is only 1.5 km along the river Bohot and reveals to visitors bizarre rock formations, small waterfalls, pools and green ridges. It leads to the source of the river Bohot - Kaya Bunar, hence the other name of the waterfall. Not far from Hotnitsa waterfall there is another very famous landmark in the area - the Emen Canyon and the eponymous Emen Fall. (Photo: waterfallsbg.info)
