Day of the Metallurgist

The celebration of the Metallurgical day goes back to 1963, when the 5th of November was declared a professional day of the Bulgarian metallurgists. The day was declared as a Professional Holiday of the Bulgarian Metallurgists with Act 827 of the Council of Ministers in November 19, 1963 on the occasion of the commencement of operation on that date of the Lenin Metallurgical Plant in Pernik (1953) and of the Kremikovtsi Metallurgical Plant (1963).
