Petya Kolcheva is the first Bulgarian woman to climb Mt. Everest. The climbing happened on May 22, 2009. Petya Kolcheva, a lawyer by profession, has been interested in alpinism for many years. Her first climbed 8000 high peak is Cho Oyo (8201 meters), the sixth highest peak on the planet. Petya climbed the top together with her husband - Kamen Kolchev. They participated in the American expedition.
