Villy Kazasyan

On 12 July 2008, 74 years old, died Villy Kazasyan - composer, conductor, pianist. Over 35 years Villy Kazasyan guided the Big Bend of the Bulgarian National Radio. He is one of the symbols of the generation of musicians of 60’s with generally recognized contribution to the creation and promotion of Bulgarian entertaining music. He was born in 1934 in Sofia. He graduated as an engineer, and studied by correspondence in the Conservatory. Kazasyan is the founder of the competition for young talents Trombata of Villy. He was chairman of the jury in the first two national contests for Eurovision. He participated in all jazz forums, in many international festivals and competitions. He was member of the public council of the Bulgarian National Television.
